The Game:

The Game is an annual live roleplay event for and by fighting Vikings.

It began as a wargame in which two or more groups fought in different environments such as forest, mountains, fortifications, etc.

Currently the game is as much about roleplay, in which intrigue, fitting into the environment and character are central. There may be combat, but only as another tool to solve conflict. Around 100 participants are active for 3 days, during which they get a good chance to test the quality of their equipment in rain, frost, or whatever nature throws at them. This aspect is investigated even more in Widfaran, which can become week long survival trips using only Viking Equipment.
